ABOUT PAGE
Hi, I'm Andrew
Hi, my name is Andrew Schuler. I am a Pop-Punk and Metalcore artist and producer currently based near Minneapolis, MN.
Ever since I was young, I have always had the dream of being a rockstar (the frontman of a band, writing, recording, and playing shows of my own original music.) At the age of 8, I saved up enough money for my first guitar and from there the dream has grown to where it is today.
Over the past 15 years I've done what I can to get closer to where I want to be. I would play for church every chance I got. I would audition for every play that my school put on, I would convince my dad to let me use the church's recording equipment, I would spend hours in my room trying to write good songs and I even started a pop-punk cover band in high school.

After high school, I still had the dream of being a rockstar but my parents wanted me to go to college and get a degree. After going to college for about a year and half, I realized college was not for me, and decided to do things on my own.
In September of 2019, I was very generously given the offer to live in Santa Ana, CA to see what opportunities I could get in music and acting. Due to the pandemic and a few mental health issues, I ended up having to come back to MN after 6 months. Since then, I have worked on getting back on my feet and now I'm working on multiple different projects and exploring many different routes in my entrepreneurial journey.

So what can I do?
I am a self-taught musician, vocalist, songwriter, producer, voice actor, and mix engineer.
Influences
As I mentioned before, I am a pop-punk and metalcore artist, so that is primarily where of my influences are. I tend to like bands with heavily distorted guitars and a lot of passion behind their music. I like pop-punk bands from the early 2000's like Sum 41, Simple Plan, Green Day, Bowling for Soup, and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I like newer pop-punk bands such as Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, State Champs, Mayday Parade, and The Story So Far. I like a variety of metalcore bands like A Day to Remember, Blessthefall, Fit for a King, Periphery, Motionless in White, and Woe is me. I also enjoy a lot of rock groups from the early 2000's such as Lifehouse, Switchfoot, Nickleback, Daughtry, and Matchbox 20.

As far as my mixing influences are concerned, I tend to take influences from guys like Joey Sturgis, Andrew Wade, Kenneth Mount, Cory Spotts, and Ryan "Fluff" Bruce.
What's the dream?
Plain and simple, I want to make badass art for a living. Obviously a lot of different mediums will be involved, and this will require me to work with a ton of different people, but at the end of the day if I get to make cool things for a living...I'm living the dream.
